THE FIRE BIRD
The traditional Slavic fairy tales FIRE BIRD and KASHEI THE DEATHLESS are re-
imagined for contemporary world (heroines and villains). It is told from a point of view of an old Colonel whose job is to sit on the mysterious egg in a Kremlin chamber, just like his ancestors have done for centuries. The egg, we learn may contain a DNA of Ivan the Terrible, who had defiled the Fire Bird 500 years ago and only released her after she had laid him an egg that technically made him immortal, so he could continue living in all the consequent ruthless leaders of Russia. During his shift, Colonel is watching the TV that broadcasts the Tsar’s wedding. The Tsar (Putin) as a modern Kashei, barricaded from its people in the Kremlin citadel, is set to marry a virgin maiden who lives in foreign kingdom (Ukraine). When she refuses his advances, he sends armies to bring her to him by force. After many bloody battles, she agrees and arrives at her wedding in the Kremlin, where she turns into a Firebird and burns the Kremlin down.
Under the rubbles, the egg remains intact.
